Their mitti ittar is hydro distilled in pure sandalwood and uses freshly harvested earth to capture the evocative scent of the first rains. The aroma of the first drops of rain on parched earth has been bottled by Kannauj-based perfumery Boond; the choice of gifts for the A-list Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal wedding. Boond’s Maati fragrance is handcrafted by artisans in Kannauj using the traditional deg-bhapka technique. It’s snugly packed in a beautiful handmade recycled paper box crafted from cotton scraps.
